3040 Balloon
Pilot |
|
For many years,
the superb reliability and quality of our precision instruments have
made us the leading choice in flight instruments world wide.
The Flytec development team has brought together these traits with
start-of-the-art technology and created the 3040 Balloon
instrument. Flytec is proud to be able to improve the safety
of ballooning with the wireless envelope temperature sensing
functionally of the 3040. The 3040 has dominated balloon
instrumentation in Europe, and with its' recent FCC certification. Some of the characteristics that have made the
3040 so popular are:
- User-friendly
interface
- Unparalleled
remote envelope temperature sensing
- Real-time
clock and stop watch
- Accurate,
rugged and reliable
- Light,
compact, aerodynamic and ergonomic

4010 Real Time - For the
Beginner to Advanced Pilot |
|
The
4010 Realtime variometer has all of the features that you will need
in your endeavors as a soaring pilot. This is a vario that you will
not outgrow. Rugged and compact, it has been used around the world
with nothing but praise for it's operation. The 20
flight memory of the 4010 can be printed out directly to computer
printer. The printout will contain the pilots name and all values
stored in the 4010 memory.
The PC
interface permits interface to PC using Flychart or direct printout
to a printer.
The
4010 will accurately indicate altitude up to 24,000 feet. The 4010
will actually read altitude up to 31,000'. The accuracy above
24,000' is reduced. |

4020 Professional |
The
4020 offers all of the features of the 4010 Realtime
plus the ability to record a barograph trace of your flight and
to record the data necessary for creating a polar graph of your
performance. The 4020 barograph is FAI approved and has been used in
numerous world records.
To
record a barograph trace of your flight simply switch on the REC
switch before or at any time during your flight. The 4020 will
record the pilots specified values at the specified interval until
the REC switch is turned of or until the instrument is turned off.
There is an internal marker system that allows any number of recall
points to be set during a flight. This is useful to help remember
where in the flight you were when you were attacked by that eagle,
or where you were, when you got low, and thermaled back up to cloud
base. These markers will appear on the direct printout of the
recorded flight or will be displayed in barograph screen when using
Flychart. |

Flytec 4030 GPS
Access |
|
The
4030 offers all of the features of the 4020 Professional
plus the ability to interface with a GPS. This will allow for 3 GPS
functions:
- Glide ratio display (actual real-time glide and current
glide to goal)
- Optimized speed-to-fly display
- Final Glide Computer

GPS
supported functions |
|
The GPS
supported functions offered by Flytec's 4030 GPS Access model are
available when the instrument is connected to a standard GPS
receiver (NMEA interface). 4 polars ranging from 12 mph to 74 mph
can be stored in the form of 50 reference points. Performance polars
may be input via the instrument keys or via the PC software. The
4030 may also be used to record the required data to build a
performance polar (using Flychart Professional -
included). |
